Don’t Tell Brian

This is the greatest band of all times; its name: “Don’t Tell Brian”. We are about to Release our first platinum album to the world. Being a new rapper is actually pretty easy all you need to do is go to Best Buy and buy yourself a MacBook, a neat looking microphone, and everything else you don’t need, but think you may need to get (when you go platinum).

Names

After you get all of your MacBooks and microphones and stuff, then it’s time to make rapper names.

My rapper name is “D Nobody”, because my first name is Doug and I am a no-body in the rapper world. As soon as our band releases its first record, and we go platinum, then I will change my rapper name to “D Somebody”.

My partner is my Buddy David T., but his rapper name is DT Nig Face, because no one has a face like DT. Everyone is unique in their own way, just like our music.

The Studio

The next step is setting up your recording studio. The recording studio is the place where all the real music magic happened. Since we both still live at home with our parents, we decided to build a tree house in the woods were we would set up all of our expensive MacBooks and microphones to make sweet beats.

Lyrics

Making killer lyrics is pretty easy, you just come up with a line, and then turn it into a rhyme! See, we even made that last line rhyme, and we do this stuff all the time…

As you can see, writing lyrics is probably the easiest part of “going platinum”, and with the resources that are available on the internet, it’s no wonder why there are so many good rappers out there!

If you ever start a little rhyme, but you seem to get stuck all the time, then just go to rhymezone.com and it will help you get out of your bind.

Words that rhyme with bind (from rhymezone.com):

1 syllable:
blind, dined, find, fined, freind, grind, hind, kind, lined, mind, mined, rind, shined, signed, twined, wind, wined

2 syllables:
aligned, assigned, behind, break wind, cheese rind, combined, confined, consigned, declined, defined, designed, east wind, elkind, enshrined, entwined, field mind, fly blind, get wind, gschwind, inclined, in kind, maligned, mankind, north wind, opined, refined, remind, resigned, rock hind, south wind, trade wind, unkind, unlined, unsigned, unwind, west wind

3 syllables:
bacon rind, bear in mind, breaking wind, broken wind, change of mind, chinook wind, come to mind, disinclined, drop behind, fall behind, frame of mind, gentle wind, get behind, have in mind, intertwined, in the mind, leave behind, lemon rind, northwest wind, of one mind, of sound mind, open mind, orange rind, peace of mind, realigned, reassigned, redefined, redesigned, roller blind, slip one's mind, solar wind, spring to mind, state of mind, unconfined, undefined, undermined, unrefined, window blind, with the wind

Beats

To make beats that work with your lyrics is probably the hardest part of the whole process. This is because you have to do what every great rapper artists has done since the beginning of wrap, and that is steal other peoples “pre-made” beats. The hard part of this is going through hundreds and hundreds of other-people’s music to find the one that fits well with your style. Some people say that you should create your own beats, but don’t listen to those people. They are not the people that are living in mansions and are driving race cars to work every day. We only take our advice from the best like Z-RO and Chamillionaire, probably the single greatest rappers of all time.

Try 20dollarbeats.com, if you download their beats then throughout your entire song a women in the background will sing “Your listening to $20 Dollar Beats .com” repeatedly. She has a very nice voice, and this will another member to your rap group that you didn’t previously have.

Recording

In order to go platinum, you need to spend as little as time as possible actually recording your music. If you spend too much time recording music then you will not be able to do things like:

You should spend no more than 10 min recording each song, this will maximize your time spent on the extracurriculars mentioned above.

The Album Cover

You should spend the most amounts of your groups funding and resources on the album cover because it is the first thing people will see when shopping for your record. It needs to have an artistic touch, with added shock and emotional appeal. There is no doubt that many bands have gone platinum just because they had a good album cover, like the following examples:

We spend many long hours making our album cover, but it portrays our group’s attitude and direction very well. I personally think it is capable of going platinum on day one.
